Not tried them personally, but http://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/fat-bike-reviews says no.

JJs roll great on tarmac and off-road, providing you aren't riding over muddy ground.
Decent JJ prices at https://www.athleteshop.co.uk/search/?q=schwalbe+jumbo+jim

Or try Specialized Fast Trak Fat for ~£50.

Just a heads up as such I've used on one floaters good in gloop and I've run jumbo Jim 4 inch great summer hard pack tyre but i have just managed to pick up a set of bombaloni 4 inch set them up ghetto tubeless and rode them three times now on different trails and conditions and they have performed very well .They roll fast and have good cornering grip so may be a decent mid price option

You can get the 4.0 JJ for £53 from bike-discount or

<STEALTH-AD!>

I have one I need to sell... I went all 4.8 so it's spare.

I've been using a Mammoth for the past six months or so. I like it as a rear. Not a mud tyre, obviously, and I wouldn't want one on the front but a good, fast-rolling rear. Worth the £30-odd quid I paid.

My bike came with them and I can find no reason to change them. Tons of grip. Crap in slop, but then what fat bike tyre isn't?

I think for 35 quid I'm going to have to take a punt
