A quick question regarding these as I can't seem to find the answer via Google.
My wife has bought a High Roller with wired bead so non-foldable. The label states "single ply" but nothing about tubeless. Are these tubeless ready/compatible? It will be going on a Hope XC rim, currently mounted up with a Bontrager XR4.
If it doesn't say TR on the sidewall then its not tubeless ready. I think the wire bead tyres are the only Maxxis ones that aren't.
This doesn't mean it won't go up tubeless - it might, but it will be a lot harder to setup then a proper TR tyre, it will probably have porous sidewall and need a load of sealant to seal.
I'd save myself the hassle and swap for a proper TR version.
Ta. Not sure why the shop got that one for her. Sounds like a return and replace is in order.
