Anyone using EXO+ yet? Thoughts?

Looking at a DHF 2.6 29

Slightly heavier than a standard EXO tyre, other than that very similar. To be honest I don't shred EXO so I am probably a bad judge here. Ive not had call to test the EXO+, but then I have only shredded one 2.6 120TPI tyre in the last year and I ride them alot, so I would probably not expect to either.

Did they really need something between Exo and Double Down casings?

Not ridden the DD ones myself yet, but a friend's experience suggests they're not quite as tough as Schwalbe Supergravity anyway.

Can you actually buy them yet? I had a brief google a day or two ago but couldn't see anything.

I have one, but only on the front so doubt it will get much of a testing. DD and insert on the rear.

I have a 29x2.5 Exo Minion in the garage which weights 1150g, a fair chunk more than the reported 1015. Wondering if Maxxis have been kicking out EXO+ for a little while already?

I think a 27.5 Assegai 2.5 wt exo+ could well be a very good all year round front tyre.
Just have to wait to see if it happens...
