Whats it like?
Is it just a summer only tyre or can it still cope with a smattering of mud(I don't mean winter mud)?

One of my favourite tyres. Light, grips surprisingly well but very predictable when it brakes, don't run them too hard as they have little feedback but once you've found the sweetspot they're great. They'll handle summer mud fine. Come up on the big size for 2.1's but a nice round profile.

Not ridden the 29er version, but my take on the 26er was that it was that the speed you gained over the Ardent wasn't massive, but the relative loss of traction/grip was disproportionately more and it also felt a bit papery and fragile in the Peak, so I stuck with the Ardent.

Have you looked at the Ikon?

One of my favourite 26er tyres that I can't use, if you are running tubeless forget them as the side walls are very thin and slash at the the mere mention of a pointy rock.

great tyre but very fragile, ditched mine in favour of the Ikon and snakeskin racing ralph, pricey but hopefully last longer, might be worth looking here just waiting for mine arrive as they seem to cheap to be true...

My favorite tyre at the moment. On a 26" 2.25 up front and 2.1 rear.
All running tubless.
