Was out on a gritty, muddy ride today. The cam on my maxle lite qr had a bit of mud and grit around it so sprayed a bit of gt85 on it to clear it out then dabbed a bit of grease on that and the shaft.
When I put it back in the action of the qr seemed a lot stiffer and when closing it in the forks made a sort of creaking noise..
Is this normal? Have I gubbed it by spaying the gt85 onto it?
Please help as I have heard the horror stories about maxles jamming in hubs and was tying to prevent this!!

Probably just washed the grit into the operating mechanism, try stripping it and cleaning it properly?
