[#2011069]

Hi,

I have a set of 07 boxxer WC with Maxle.

The internal parts of the maxle are damaged, therefore need replacing.

does anybody know if the QR maxles from the totems / pikes will work with the boxxer?

Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

Pikes def won't but Totem might as it should be the same as a Boxxer Ride Maxle.

is it the stupid hex part that's rounded on your Boxxer Maxle?

Yep, thats exactly what happened!

I dont really know why they madeit like that, it's daft.

It might just be a spares kit job, the prices are still ridiculous!

Cheers guys.

Aye, Shite aren't they? as a temp bodge, remove the interals and just use an 8mm allen key to do up the axle. (you still need to use the internals to expand the ends tho) I did this for a while and had thought about somehow bodging a rear wheel QR through the middle to make it a bit quicker but found a S/H maxle for a tenner.
don't think you can buy just the hex part (asked my LBS)

Yeah, thats what I have been doing, starting to get a bit sick of it though, a QR like on the totems would be ideal. In fact, thinking about it, my mate has some totems, I could probably just try his!

I may get in touch with SRAM and see if they can supply just the hex bit in the mean time...

Thanks for your help.

Yep no problem mate. I have just fired an email off to their UK distributor. Have also just read on the Southern DH forum that you need a 'Boxxer Maxle Ride' .. which I assume is just the maxle off the boxxer ride.

Will keep you posted.
