Time to replace the drivetrain, currently running an E13 42t expander with a SRAM X0 rear mech.
Could I get away with an 11-46t cassette?

I run the same set up as you currently. I find that the B screw is right on the limit, in that if it was screwed in any more it would be far to easy to snap it off as to be not worth the risk of mashing a quality mech and a few spokes.
