Stripped hub down to change bearings, and now have a bunch of bits not shown on the mavic exploded diagram!
I’ll try to explain what I have and hopefully someone can help.
I think on the non drive side I fit the flat washer over the bearing, then a spring, then a spacer, then a circlip, with a seal over the lot, then the end cap? I’ve done it this way and it seems fine but I’m struggling to get the circlip to seat in the grove in the axle
Drive side end just an end cap
I realise that may be difficult to decipher but any help appreciated!
Check YouTube as Mavic tend to put hub service vids on there.
I did this recently and it is was quite simple in the end
You have to look at the black washer and it has a groove on the outside edge. You have to stretch the wire spring over it so it sits on the edge. Assemble it back together and the circlip has enough space. Now you have to push the spring off the edge of the washer so it falls behind it and takes us the space and puts right preload on the bearing.
You fellas are both farckking superstars! Thanks
Stw never fails to astound me
The spring in the groove things is brilliant!
