when using the Schrader adaptor do you leave the valve open to save the hassle of removing the adaptor to close the valve? It only takes maybe another 30 seconds to take it off and replace but seems a faff and if you need to top up air when out on a ride it could be a pain.

cheers
Al

In theory you can leave them open, but in practice they get sticky after a while and then don't close fully without pulling them fully open and your Tyres slowly go down anyway, best to leave the adapter stuck on the pump so it's there when you need it

I just poked it in the converter, it was a snug fit and didn't fall out, although I only bothered for a couple of months and then I swapped the gubbins in the pump head for presta valves, not had any problems in four years running tubeless
