I am trying to remove spokes from a Mavic ST wheel and having a problem. The plastic spoke tool works if the spokes move easily. If they don't the plastic tool splines get chewed up pretty quick.

Is there a metal version of this spoke key... ?

That tool that steve linked to is not the one you need. It is for installing the spoke cups on 819 and 823 rims.
It will not fit your ST wheels.

I've bought a Superstar one that works on the UST rims - steel eyelet insert, which is nice. There's the smaller fitting at the other end.
