[#2653188]

noticed that the cassette on my road bike is loose (shimano 9 speed/mavic aksyum)

turns out i never fitted/got/have lost the spacer that goes behind the cassette, i've bodged something that kind of looks the part from my toolbox on there but it's a little too thick. does anybody know where i can get one, i'd try my lbs but won't be able to get in there for a while

Pretty sure one of these is what is required;

Although the blurb states 10 speed it looks like the same thickness as the one Mavic supply for 9 speed Shimano cassettes. For 10 speed cassettes Shimano supply another thinner spacer which is fitted as well as the Mavic spacer.

did you use the right spacers to begin with there are black and yellow depending on wether it's a 9 or 10 speed i think? if you use the 10 speed spacers on a 9 it will be loose etc etc.
