does anyone know if I can still get wheel bearings for a pair of fairly old Mavic Crossrides dating from around 2008 or 09. There is no other writing on the hubs or rims, just Mavic Crossride. There appears to be a few different sorts available for SLR or Crossmax but I'm not sure if these will fit.
I have just looked on a 2007 tech document that suggests 2007 cross rides have Mavic part M40318 for front wheel which equates to 6001 bearings- 12 x 28 x 8mm and Mavic M40660 which are 1 x 6001 as above and 1 x 608 bearing 8 x 22 x 7mm
Edit, I have just checked the 2008 and 2009 tech docs as well and they are all as above for a disc crossride
jimw- do you have access to the Mavic techdocs? If so, please could I ask a favour and get the bearing numbers for a rear 2015 Crossroc (including the freehub)? Thanks.
no, I don't have direct access to the documents via mavic's site, only the ones available on line. I can't find one for 2015, but the 2014 cross roc's front bearing set is mavic part no. 996 885 01 and rear is 351 247 01
a bit of googling gives 996 885 01 as 32 x 20 x 7mm, I can't find the other code
Edit: here is the link to the 2014 manual
Thanks for trying, not sure if they're the same as 2014 or not. It's a pain- all their techdocs used to be freely available but they're now hidden behind a dealer login.
if you look on page 3 on the above doc, you will find the dealer login code ๐
Found it!
Crossrocs from page 43
looks like from M40179, rear M40076 which are 61805 and 6903 respectively
Amazing, thanks!
thanks for the info jimw, most helpful ๐
