Does it last? I need some new road wheels for cross and was considering CDs but if it just wears off I won't bother.

Always used to have to scrub the anodising off to make them brake in the wet. Same with all hard anodised rims.
You know you want to buy Ambrosio rims and get them built up. I've just spent an hour this afternoon mounting tubs on my Nemesis rims, which I'd had slackened off and retrued by Rob Pennell.
Should be good for next Sunday.

Will wear off braking surface but not the rest of the rim.
Purely cosmetic.
