Just just the shoes and look great. Tried to attach my Shimano cleats and the screws seem to be too big for the receiving holes in the shoe. I thought that they were all a standard size. Does anyone have any advice?

A mate had same problem with his Alpine XLs. I think he changed plate in the shoes to normal Shimano plate delivered with pedals.

So I had resigned myself to getting new plates and popped into Evans in Leeds. I explained the problem and then I was kindly told that the cleat screws are all a standard size and that you need to take the grub screws out!!
D'oh !!!
Mystery solved and didn't I feel like a tw#t.
