OK, so I took my bombers apart to replace the bushes and seals.
Does anyone know what way up the oil seal goes? "Springy bit" of the seal pointing up or down?
I should of course have noted what way round the ones I took out were, but didn't. My forks are now spewing oil out everywhere, and I'm not sure if I've accidentally scored the oil seals or if I've put them in upside down... Please help!
The side with the spring on goes to the top of the fork. You can see the springs when the forks are built.
ignore him^ hes talking about the wiper seals.
the oil seals are in the fork lowers and are u shaped with a spring internally. you cant see the spring wiht the oil seal installed the right way up.
i guess the springy bit should be pointing down.
There is a manual on the Marzocchi webber that tells you how to do these things.

The flat surface of the seal is the top and the lipped side is down. Simples
