Is there any way to reduce the travel to 160mm.
Thinking they make a good choice for a Blur a Ltc mk1?
Bike will be either in Wales, proper European mountains or Surrey Hills
I dont think you can lower them as they are coil. Well thats what I was told when I got some 44s. Instead I bought some that were already converted to air. Might be wrong though, try ringing Windwave. You'd think you could buy a 160mm spring to replace the 170mm?
How's the Gixer Superfli?
Fork has Ti Spring but price on Crc was worth a punt.....
Hi Andy, Alas, the gixer was sold last April ๐ฅ along with my DRZ. I'm now riding a very practical, but extremely boring BMW 800GS with all the trimings. Throttle and pull is very linear, no torque punch and no top end scream! However, its still a bike and its fun slinging it around corners ๐ I can also take my MTB on it, which is very useful. You still riding? We should do another rideout!
Give Windwave a bell. They are very helpful
In the past I've been advised by Windwave and J-Tech that you can't reduce the travel in the 170mm Ti 55s.
I've just bought 55 microswitch TA's and they are brilliant! Really stiff and beefy 160mm.
Not sure if you can shorten the travel or not, suspect you would need a shorter spring, or at least be happy with the level of preload a compressed spring gives.
but I am selling a set of 55 rc3 ti 170mm travel forks on ebay
