Finally glad to be home after riding from 9am till half 5 in the freezing cold pouring down rain, about 70 people showed up this year and 50% of them did not make it, well im one of them to make it, its my first time and it wasn't too bad, plenty of hills but plenty energy bars and soda to keep me going the rescue team was there to help us along the way if more supply's were needed, just want to say thx to the rescue team for organizing this and hope you raised alot of money from it 🙂 it was a tough one but sorry to the people who didn't make it and well done to those of you who did 😀 i was the one with the white cannondale prophet if anyone saw me ! thx all

yeh at first i wasent fussed because i was already drenched so the rain didnt bother me but towards the end it was getting a nightmare but at least i did it thats all that matters, hardcore! lol

Well done, first year I haven't done it (done the previous three years) so glad I wasn't geared up to do it. Conditions were horrendous. Shame about the low turn out, maybe they'll consider moving it back to June when it used to held, more chance of some decent weather then.
50% is one hell of a drop out rate, mind you it can be slog at the best of times, bet the mud was horrendous.
oh yea like i said it was raining constantly and the mud was about 6 inch thick all round, and most of the climbs had water running down them so it was like climbing a river most of the time, my eyes are really sore from it too but was good fun just wish it wasn't raining lol
Yeah i saw you on the cannondale. Well done mate. it was a very tough ride this year. the rain was sh.t. very muddy but we should all feel chuffed we finished

I didn't realise there was an organised ride for the MTL - is it a challenge/reliability ride, or timed or what? Have you a link to any website showing info for next year?
