Not familiar with it but the standard technique as recommended by Hope and the automotive industry works just fine.

Why wouldn't it?

Bleeding brakes is a really simple concept. You have to fill them with fluid and get all the air out. You can fill them from the top down or the bottom up. Doing both often helps when you have a tricky one (usually rear brake IME). The more different techniques you can use, the better your chances of success.
