Hi, I'm wondering if there is a group of bikers around the Marple area that go out on a regular night. Not seen too many bikers around the area and wondered about going on a group outing or two. Cheers.
Hello. there are a few groups. Nominally there's the Marple riders, we run a yahoogroups email list to "organise" rides - see my profile. Typically they'd be on a wednesday, but the group is pretty dormant. We're very much a social group - speed not too high, beverage after the ride.
@Scaled also rides rounds marple quite a bit, he rides a bit faster than us.
Some of the SK6 Spinners dabble in off-road occasionally, especially Pete from Pedal Power Marple
Give withington cycles a bell.. the owner lives round the corner and rides marple regularly year round.
I'm mostly pedaling in my garage at the moment until this baby is a bit older!
