Have some 2012 forks that don't work. Surplus to requirement and estimated repair cost is at a minimum, what i'd expect to sell them for.
Do people buy broken forks?
Depends what you've broken. If they are straight-steerer then they may have a value for "older" frames.
Yep, I bought a set of 36s with a cracked lower because I wanted the undamaged CSU, swapped the CSU over stuck them back on eBay now with cracked lowers and worn CSU and someone bought them for £1 less than I bought them for - he wanted the damper unit. I'd like to think he sold them onto someone looking for the air-spring side, pretty much completely harvesting them.
depends as above on whats 'broken' - but I have successfully got several years use out of a pair of Fox Vanillas, bought for £100, eventually seals started leaking and slight wear on stanchoins, rather than repair I got another, improved pair for another £100 and sold the old, duff pair for SorR for £60, which seemed like a result to me.
Be honest though!
Similiar here, I bought a trashed set of rev teams for the dampers. Ended up salvaging some other bits
Cheers one and all, classifieds they go.
any market for MXC (coil) Bombers, c 2002?
I am looking for some fox lowers with solid axle in 26 inch flavour, so I can swop the legs on my QR talas forx, but they never seem to come up with knackered stations or broken .......
Are they Bombers?
No, misbehaving Revs.
