I'll start off by saying, I love my bike, and it does get ridden alot.... but has anybody else found problems with ATB if you have sent anything back... So far I am onto my third rear triangle.... that thankfully is straight and rattle free, but the decal says my bike is a 46S.... No probs, but where was the wuality control?!! Also, I had the bearings replaced by them, and when I got it back, there were three diff makes of bearing, one that didnt fit properly, other incorrectly fitted that all led to the most annoying creak!!
Again I love my bike, but after all that I would think again about buying a Whyte/Marin, just wonderedif this was a common problem or I've just been unlucky?
I order one, waited 6 months for the wrong size to turn up , and noticed bad paint , poor fit , miss aligned parts and on demo rear Suspention that seemed to react much later than the front when landing . Got my deposit back and bought a zesty . Stunning looking bike though , met a guy at CDB a few weeks ago that had a 146 works and had snapped x3 frames !!! And the 2013 frame with a **** looking extra bar is a design joke .
Ah lovely, no wonder there is a lifetime warrenty on the frame, Im onto my second already in under a year, and I've only just started riding!!
Thank you for replying.
I think they have a serious problem with the build quality. The bike itself I am totally in love with (some odd choice of componants but thats fixed easy enough)...Rides like a dream, well mine does... when it is working properly, and looks good... ah well.... I'm just going to have to keep putting up with it, although I think some hounding of ATB about quality of build is needed, especially if it's not just a one off bad case!!!
Eeh that's problem with t'bikes of today. My 2000 Mount Vision is still pluuuuush.
Haha.... yup, I have a 98 GT Agressor and the frame is still solid!
