I'm looking for a new xc hardtail and like the look of the 2018 Marin Nail Trail. How does the bike perform ? The spec looks really good. Im 6:2ft and 85kg so looking at the XL frame (20inch)
6' on large 27.5" wheels from 2017 range.
Love it - fast, fun, modernish longish lowish slackish without being extreme. Light wheels with wider rims, dropper, 1x. Great value.
Tyres it came with were crap. I've warrantied brakes. The BB lasted only a few months.
Yari I'm torn on - stiff but I just can't get it tuned 'right', I just think the damping struggles at speed.
Super bike though.

Matt - What's the widest tyre you could put on the Nail Trail... 2.8 or 2.6 ?
I think with 29” you can get away with up to a 2.4-ish...
That said, I’ve got 27.5+ on mine with a 2.8 out back. Rides really well!
You can just about squeeze a 3.0 in there but it’d probably rub a bit.
It is genuinely a really good wee bike - I doubt you’d be disappointed.
