Is tomorrow.
I'm sure you all knew, but just a reminder. 😀
Went a few years ago it was shocking just old crap and piles of GT85
The dealers hang around in the car park and get the best stuff off the sellers before they've even got to their stalls.
Not much decent left for the ordinary buyer.
What time? Should I hang round the carpark? 😆
I did buy a smashing Specialized Dolce road bike for Mrs Gti at the bike jumble in Longridge for a mere £195, almost unused.
However yes, bike jumbles are only good for confirming that the parts collecting habit has always been just as bad - younger cyclists aren't the only hoarders!
You can pick up some fantastic deals occasionally, there's often some really nice kit there. But yes, it can involve wading through a lot of crap to find it! Good for catching up with people too.
If you've got any retro Campag, you can make a fortune there! 😉
I would pop along but I'm off to the National CX Champs instead...
there were some highlights last time. a couple of owd fellas selling a lovely collection of vintage road bikes for instance.
Dave Hinde and his henchmen were there too, trying to look dead hard. He might be there again. Handy to know if anyone's got a bone to pick with him 🙂
I went-didnt get there until late though (6hours after it started so didn't bother going in) and took my land on the pump track instead.
Observations- ALOT of beards around. ALOT of people leaving their bikes on roofs unattended in the carpark.
