Just had a text from my good mate Jason 'Terrahawk' Miles who many off will here will know. He's in A & E with a suspected broken leg after being knocked off his bike by a car. Bike is wrecked.
More details when I hear them.

THE DRIVER SHOULD BE SHOT IT WAS ALL THEIR FAULT etc. etc.

Hope the insurance doesn't screw him around over the bike.

Bad news, terra. Heal fast..!

However, this does give you plenty of time from your hospital bed to ensure that HTN2.5 is better than ever..! ๐Ÿ˜€

About an hour ago, pulling out of the drive and see a cyclist coming along, decent light, high viz jacket, so allowed him plenty of space to pass, woman driver overtakes him, slams on the brakes and turns left left in front of him, at the same junction another woman pulls right out in front of him, he was so very lucky, followed first woman up hill, and she gets to a traffic light controled juction, moves to the right of the lane , lights change to amber and she swerves left, no indicators or anything.

Theres some mad bints out there tonight.

Managed to break my femur a few years back courtesy of a car/bike collision.

NOT a nice experience! Hope your mate has a lower leg break, rather than femur.

My first question (before I saw the sate of my leg) when I came to was "Is my bike okay".....

I can't believe any of you really thought he'd break his leg in a collision with a car - in a straight, head on clash the car was always going to lose! ๐Ÿ˜†

"There were bits of cars everywhere" apparently...

I'm alive! I've 'won' a big ankle haematoma thing, a big fat leg where a car drove into it (which is already going a reet funny colour), a destroyed helmet, a destroyed bike, a massive lump on my head, tendon damage (or something) in my shoulder...but I'm alive.
Always wear a helmet folks.
I was sh1tting myself about the suspect fracture, but thankfully it's not as serious as the ambulance guy was making out...

The driver stuck around long enough for us to exchange details as well as pleasantries. Loads of witnesses, inc. bloke who's car I landed on, his car was a bit broken after I nutted it.
Bike currently in the back room of a shoe shop in Oldham. I almost can't bear to look.
Doc reckons 6 weeks to recover. Balls to that ๐Ÿ˜‰

The traffic copper who came to the hospital for a natter rides a Ragley Mmmbop, which was a nice coincidence. We chatted about Lee Quarry for a bit whilst my drugs kicked in.

car drove into me from the right, hit my leg, trashed the bike, punted me into the car on the left, bounced off that onto my head.

bloke in car on left shouts at bloke in car on right 'you need your f***ing eyes testing!' - bloke in car on right says 'yeah I'm going having them tested next week'.

a bellend. Lucky for him I was wearing a lid.
