I'm thinking of treating myself to a wireless dropper especially when X-Fusion said they are doing one for around £400… …that has not materialised yet but Magura have their V3 Vyron out now… has anyone got one or read any reviews? Can't find anything except for what Magura says. Cheers, Tim

I still have a v1. Had two faults with it and magura have replaced out of warranty both times , even out with their service intervals. (That's how you do it Giant). I first got it in 2014 (maybe 2015)

I like it. There is a slight delay but you learn to live with it quickly

Big problem with the original was the delay. They didn't fix it on the new one.

I rode one of the V1s this weekend. So did my mate. Even after 3 hours he didn't like it... I was fine with it after 20s of riding...I think they're a wonderful item... i know others may not agree.

Another V1 here, AXS is miles better, but it does the job OK once you get used to the delay.

Ordered one today, lets see how that goes.

I had the older one previously, worked well, speed was no an issue for me, seat is either up or down.

Can't comment on the new one but I have a V2. Had it on my XC race bike and it was great to have and I liked the cable freeness of it - alternated between using the Vyron & a static weenie carbon post depending on what type of course I was racing.

Saying all of that the main battery packed up half way round a lap of Kirroughtree 18 months ago and since taking the Vyron off I've never put it back on the bike. Make of that what you will although to be fair I didnt race during 2022 so didnt really miss just having it laid up in the spares box.

This thread reminds me that I need to contact Magura UK to enquire about a new battery pack to bolt on! 🙂

Thinking about one myself, so comments on the V 3 version would be nice

@bennyboy1, you just described my experience exactly, except it packed up at Glentress on a rainy day.

Thanks all. Sounds like the V3 is a completely different beast/design and has cured all the issues you've talked about. Anyone out there actually got a V3?

Doddy at GMBN seems quite excited by it GMBN

Fitted today.

Loads faster actuation than the old one. Remote is very neat and feels great.

@deanfbm - how are you getting on with the V3? Any issues or problems you have encountered?
