This might be a stupid question and I might be missing the obvious but bear with me. Could anyone confirm what is required to mount a Hayes Stroker caliper to a Magura Thor 180mm post mount fitting? The rotor is also 180mm, my previous forks were IS and the caliper was using an IS mount. From reading through the installation pdf the hex bolts for the IS kit are too short for fitting direct to the fork and 22mm bolts are required. I've searched online for this type of bolt and also spoken to hotlines but been unable to get a confirmation on the part required other than that I need a 7" post mount kit. Has anyone fitted the same caliper to a Thor and is this what I need as I thought they were direct mount? The bolts in question are M6 x 1.0 22mm, the closest I can find are either 20mm or 25mm bolts.
Cheers
Use 25mm and washer them out?
I've a pair of Thors, but run post mount calipers. They do though 'direct-mount' for 180/183's, and if you want to run 203's, you need a Magura mount.
Holy lateral thinking Batman, thanks for the tip. Hopefully i'll get it built up by Saturday now.
