Can anyone think of a good reason not to blow £400 on these forks? I'll need a new disc rotor (£25) and 20mm hub conversion (£15). Still the best deal around? RS Revs or Pikes also look good but heard of problems with the u-turn on revs. Fox are great but they seem to wear out quickly, and cost a bomb.

My Talas have pretty much died, needing new uppers plus a service. I paid £200 (secondhand) 18 months ago, and another £250 to keep them going seems daft. I really liked the adjustable travel, dropping to 100mm for climbs.

Cheers

Gareth

i too was thinking the exact same last week and over the weekend purchased the Thors.

i think/hope all the issues were with the pre-2009 models. Reading the reviews it would appear that the 2010 model has moved on quite a bit and is now up there with Fox.

Will know in a couple of months if i have made the right decision.

I still cant get over the price On One are knocking these out for. Trade price from Magura (who deal directly) is actually ~£470!!

If it helps, Im very happy with mine, even if I paid more for them than you will!!

I bought one.

Only 'issue' is that the maxle it comes with is a standard one - weighs 150g as opposed to my maxle lite (from my RS's) that weighs 90g.

Apart from that happy.

Loving mine here too. £400 bargain IMO.

Mine are bedding in nicely and its true about them being fiddly to set up with not enough air pressure causing them to dive and too much making them rock solid, but I love all that setting up stuff.

They are really stiff and accurate (as in non flexy) too and on par if not ahead of the Fox 36's my bike was using previously.

I haven't been bothered with the handle bar mount thing either as I can't be bothered to wind them into 100mm when my bike rides perfectly well at 140mm.

Anyone want to swap it for a the lever that locks them out?
