Just a UK 'guest' adaptor - I got mine from a pound shop.

You can get them anywhere! I got mine from Maplin, but apparently Tesco and Asda sell them for about £2. It's just a simple adaptor, take the charger with you and try it in the shop. 🙂

I cut the plug off and wired up a UK one. The wires were quite thin.
Back in the day wiring a plug was part of O-level physics - goodness knows what kids get taught now...

not to put 240v through something designed for 12v?

edit - on re-reading this it's surely got to be a mickey take.....
