I know all about the 900lm single led affairs, as a few mates have them and they seem a good secondary head mounted unit - wouldn't want to rely on one as my only light, due to spread and reliability.

However has anyone got any experience of the 1200lm 3 led, or 1600lm 4 led units (I know these outputs are slightly exaggerated)? I would be using to complement my Hope 4 led.

It was as bright, if not brighter Rob, but isn't the beam a bit concentrated? Could be wrong. Hows the durability stood up - a few mates had problems with batteries when wet?

Still, anyone tried the bigger versions?

I have used the mickey mouse style "1400" lumen type for almost a year with no issues. Actually very impressed with it. The mount was crap though - I had to make my own as the rubber band OEM one used to migrate around the bars!
