Right, I c*cked up and fried the driver board in the head unit of a Magicshine Bastid light. Am I able to replace the driver?
I'm not very good at electronics, but there is a firm in my building that will be able to help with soldering etc. What driver board do I need etc.
Any help from the boffins would be much appreciated. Cheers G
If you have no joy on here, ask on http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/portal/index.php , someone'll know over there.
I did the same getting the polarity of a DIY battery holder the wrong way round. Most irritating, but only myself to blame.
Have a look here:

IIRC they have run out of the 3-mode boards, so I bought one of these and hope it will do the job, but I've not had a chance to fit it yet:

Thanks anotherdeadhero - I've bought one of the cheapo drivers from the DX website, I'll give it a bash. Thanks G
