Thinking of moving my usually velcro'd battery for my MJ808 from the top tube to the bottle cage. Has anybody done this and have any good tips? Any probs with heat too. Thanks.
Any of the evening crew done this?
Yes, I just put the battery in a water bottle, not to difficult. No problems with heat, does the battery heat up?
Battery does get hot but not too much, did you use any padding inside the water bottle to stop it rattling itself to death?
I just put it in a plastic carrier bag. I also removed the valve from the water bottle lid and put innertube over the holes (fixed in place with zip ties). I cut a small hole in the innertubes and forced the lead from the light through (the water bottle lid is effectively attached to the light lead).
I havent had any problems in the rain with it.

No problem. Unfortunately the light has broken so I cant use it anymore. I need to take it apart and resolder it.
