was thinking about booking a holiday for 3 of us to Madeira for a week next year.Ive been finale a couple of times and loved it,in finale we were paying around 35 Euro each for half ย day uplifts which were definitely enough.Ive had a quick look at Madeira and it seems over double price for uplifts.Just after a bit of info on how trails are compared to finale, advice on what company to use and is it worth going.

any help much appreciated

It is expensive. Trails are fantastic and varied. Not been to Finale so sorry can't compare to that. We went with Freeride Madeira. guiding and uplifts were spot on.

Here's my holiday video to show a bit of what it's like:

I've just got back from madeira yesterday, we did 4 days guiding with freeride madeira. It was really good. Compared to finale I'd say on the whole the trails in madeira are less rocky, more dirt. Finale seemed a bit more technical , but that may just have been because the guides prefer to keep people on the less technical stuff in madeira, there were certainly a few trails in madeira that were very technical and steep though. I guess if you ask for hard as nails trails they will certainly have them.

The organisation of the uplifts was first class, and the guides were great. We had a few mechanical issues over the days we were there, and the guys at freeride madeira fixed theย  broken bikes for us overnight.
