Sorry if this has been done before but I can't bloody find it.
I want to buy an m8000 drive chain but don't like the look of the cranks. Can anyone tell me whether any other chainrings (that i can fit on my middleburns) will work with 11 speed in 1x setup?

Yeah, any chainrings on any cranks will work. My garage has an AbsoluteBlack oval ring to go on my 5yo Deore cranks when I finally buy a new mech.

You may be disappointed as going 1x11 usually leaves you with a bigger low gear than you had before .
Yeah 1x11 really isn't suited to extremes of any angle - I've just changed to it because most of my riding is "inbetweeny" but if I had lots of uphill or downhill I'd not be going there.
