[Closed] M520 pedal extremely stiff

I've got some cheap M520 SPD pedals, but i'm struggling to clip in, with my new M087 shoes.

The tension adjusters are very stiff and difficult to turn. Is this normal? Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

Just drop a little bit of chain lube on the adjusters and the spring.

They are tight until you turn them back and forth a few times.
Make sure you turn them the right way as well.
