If i take my 2005 M4 regular rotors off and replace with M4 floating rotors, will they fit or is there any caliper etc adjustments, new bits etc required??

Probably be fine. I use hope floating rotors with other types of brake too.
The only thing to watch out for is that some combinations of hubs and forks set the rotor too close to the fork leg and the wider central part of the rotor rubs on the fork leg/disk mounts.
