Dropped the lowers yesterday, cleaned and put new seals and fresh oil in.
Now there's a rattle. Sounds like something is loose.

Any ideas please?

Open them up and see if something is loose?

Probably a stretched circlip has come loose. My Dual Air Revs did this last night on the air spring side - symptoms included extra travel and top out clunking.

Dropped the lowers again.
Checked everything.

Put them back on, couldn't remember if I'm supposed to tighten them up with the forks compressed or not.

Spent 10 minutes trying to fully compress forks with one hand and do up bolt with other (firm spring)

Tightened everything up.

Still rattling.

Noticed brake pads were loose.
Removed pads.

Rattle gone.

Clean, replace & tighten pads.

Rattle gone.

*Sheepish embarrassed grin*

Has anyone else ever noticed just how much noise a loose inner tube lockring can make? And possibly taken the entire front of the bike apart to try and fix it? Just me?
