So you get UST and LUST then or is a tyre that is "light" and UST considered LUST. If so what is light?

Lust tyres are made by maxxis and have a lighter side wall than ust. You'll see lust on xc/am type tyres and the ust on fr/dh tyres where it is needed to cut down on sidewall tears and burping. Sometimes the same tyre such as the high roller is in ust and lust versions.

Edit : Should have mentioned that lust is also a tubeless tyre.

Mine say Lightweight Ultimate Sidewall Technology on them, but that could be marketing speak I think.

You can get a minion in 2.5 and I think 2.7 ust but not a lust version as it is a fr tyre, think it comes in a 60a compound as well as the 42a (super tacky). Always wanted a lust/ust 2.3 minion but had to do with a normal tyre run with stans.

That's what it stands for but as far as I can tell it means bugger all, LUST tyres work pretty much the same as standard non-tubeless tyres in my experience. Less effort to seal them up when first fitted as they're airtight though.

Yeah, my ADvantages have LUST and UST on the sidewall, pretty standard UST tyre I thought (weightwise)

Been here a while. I think it's the first time I've been enticed into a tyre thread.
