[#1315905]

Had a Lupine Wilma 6 for three winters and the battery is a bit knackered. It used to do about 3-3.5 hours on full power but now it's less than an hour. The battery is a Li-ion battery and allegedly 6.8AhM but I think it's down to about 2Ah now (based on run-time and also the indicator on the microcharger). That means it only does about an hour on full or 90 mins or so on 60% which isn't long enough for my usual night riding.

Any ideas on refreshing Li-Ion batteries it or is it just gubbed and needs replaced?

If it's replacement, any ideas on new batteries? SJS Cycles have a 5Ah battery at an eye-watering £125 and 7.5Ah at £149 which seems like a lot of magic beans for a battery - any better ideas?

No way I could make my own but is there anyone out there who will knock up a battery to a spec for less than the Lupine one? Looks like quite a funky connector rather than the spades last time I got a new battery for lights. All ideas welcome...

as above - smudge is your man - I guess if you sent him the battery and the charger he could make soemthing up that would be fine.

Hi Elvis,
I am selling my Lupine batteries as my head unit needs a new bulb @ £100! (So I got an Exposure)

Anyway, I have got a bottle battery which is in tip top condition, THIS ONE if you are interested. I got this as a spare for enduros but only ever did two or three.

I also have the battery which came with the light which was a Lupine Edison 4, this has had a lot more use but the life hasn't depleted that much.

Like I say, if you're interested, get in touch, email in profile.

tommo - thanks but a bottle battery is no good to me as not all bikes have a cage and the Edison battery isn't big eough.

I'll email scruff from home tonight I think

had the same problem with the lion (bottle) battery of my "nightmare"....
I asked lupine and they told me to try this.....charge full and then discharge with the light ! (not the charger..) until the battery is totally !!! empty..3 times/cycles ...if there is any chance it will refresh the battery..
for me it worked fine..so another year of riding with my old set..
