Commuter road bike seatpost has become completely fused in frame and have tried all methods to remove. I need to reduce the saddle height on the bike by about 2cm and wondered if anyone knew of a very very low height saddle that could achieve this without having to lower the post?
and have tried all methods to remove.
Except the hack saw. It takes a long time and you have to be careful but it does work.
And wouldn't be easier to find shoes with a 2cm thicker sole than a saddle 2cm shallower.
shorter cranks, thicker pedals and shoes..
or as above, get the hacksaw out and sort it properly.
b,
I have 2 different Selle Italia SLR saddles with only 30mm between the rail and top. This compares to 45-60mm for others.
The price may just make your eyes water tho'.

cheers guys
Aye - have considered the hacksaw method but having had to do this once before many years ago I didn't relish idea of repeating this hellish job. I may just have to bite the bullet though. Had thought also of the thicker shoe soles and shorter cranks but looking to keep the costs down initially. Selle Italia saddles look grand but as you say PaulD, they are a bit on pricey side! thanks for the feedback all same.
Specialized Phenom's are fairly low.
