[#5986528]

After a low profile light mount, as I want to mount my SSC X2 on my helmet, and am NOT intereested in using the classic magicshine mount

Something like this mount, is what I actually want..

I do have one of those (on a trout mini with a detachable base mount) but I'd have to drill one of screw holes to a larger size to use it with the SSX2, making it useless for the Mini.
So any one know of any options, other that removing the SSX2 mount completely?
How are you mounting yours on your helmet?

can you show that light unit from above?

I use one of these

If you want it lower, you could chop down the lower half.

Or try an exposure mount?

I just zip tie mine to my helmet. Adjust the angle by mounting it futher foreward or backwards.

Doesn't tilt though so, if you crash or headbut a branch it's more likely to write off the helmet.

ah right. In that case I'd just mount the "normal" mount further forward

My visor wouldn't allow that to work unfortunately.

I use a hope helmet mount for mine.

Mrphil, that sounds interesting, I've got a similar idea for a go pro mount*, how are you connecting your light to it? (unless it original hope & bolts straight on)

*My Bell super helmet comes with a go pro mount attachment, I'm wondering if I can get another drill a hole for a bolt/the light & then attach the mount upside down onto the original mount... any one got a Bell Super mount spare?
