[#4248092]

I was going to just respray my Trailstar but I think I just fancy something shiny and new tbh! I'm after a hardtail I can use for dirt jumps, lots of riding the DH bits at Woburn (and other places with that sort of riding), possibly bmx track and maybe some skatepark riding. At the minute I swap between my Trailstar and Bullit for the Woburn stuff but since getting a bmx they've both felt like they have way too high a standover even with a slammed seat. Also I want something I can singlespeed.

Anyone have any recommendations? I was considering an NS Suburban simply because the chrome one looks amazing haha. Don't want a really long wheelbase or stupidly slack geometry, just something that's fun to ride on a bit of everything other than XC because I don't do that any more.

I'd go with the NS . Either that or something like a charge blender.
I went from a blender to a prince Albert which I totally love but its maybe not the sort of thing you're after.

Nah my trailstar is 16" and the saddle seems to get in my way with that! My inside leg is only 29".. Was looking at the holeshot actually but I'd need some kind of tensioner for single speed.

I think you can get horizontal dropouts for these

Had a 16" BFe and it was ok but nothing remarkable and i found it a bit boring to ride. The snap is looking good, i prefer rounded tubes like most normal steel frames but the snap is tempting me, would save some weight as well.

Those Intenses look shite, mile long chainstays on a bike thats for dirt and 4x.

Id get the Nukeproof with some horizontal dropouts. Get them filed out a bit so you can slam the wheel even further.

The only problem with the Nukeproof is that it looks a bit gash, and yes i am being a tart about it.

How so? I think they look fairly smart built up. If you want a nice looknig bike then get an intense or something. It wont ride aswell though!

That looks about right.

Light, strong, stiff, not to slack, not to steep, short stays, horizontal dropouts, loads of standoever, cheap, good warranty backup (Id guess) - does everything you want

The raw snap looks good built up actually, think that may be the one i go for! Anyone know whether it has the same issues as the raw mega frames with the dark/ugly welds ?

Must be something in the air!

I'm looking at my long unridden 26er and thinking about recycling all the burly bits onto something long, low and slack for mucking about on down the woods / local skate-park (which is to say, making an idiot of myself of course... ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).

I've got the Faction and the Snap on my list too, along with maybe a Dartmoor Phantom (with a kinda 2nd list which includes the NS Surge and Dartmoor Hornet too). I need to recycle a set of non-adjustable 130mm forks so the Krisis is pretty much out.

Hmm, so many bikes, such little time ...
