I know there was a post recently regarding this( or similar).. problem i have got is i like quite a high bar height. with the setup i have the the top stem bolt isn't actually clamping round the steerer tube..i was running a 60mm stem which 'just' clamped round, but been fettling and prefer a 70mm stem.. looking for one with the a lower profile so they both clamp.. 😕

It's a Crank Brothers one (IIRC), that has a very low clamp height.

Surely a higher rise stem makes more sense? Ritchey and Bontrager do 17 degree ones.

i could probably take a 5mm spacer out and go for a stem with a bigger rise.. it semms that 70mm stems with a low stack height are rare..

The stem with the lowest stack height that I am aware of is the Ragley Stubbing, but it looks like they don't do a 70 mm one.

I have an On-One Ultralight CNC stem and the stack height is only 35 mm. For comparison, a Ritchey stem that I have is 42 mm.
