I wanted a new steel hardtail frame to have a bit of fun on the trails with and opted for the orange P7. At first I hated it........it seemed heavy, sluggish and seemed a bit of a dog of bike frame due to the weight as I was used to a cotic soul which I still have. However I have grown to love this bike......it is a beast down hill and has made me a lot fitter up hill. I have got fitter by riding this bike up the hills and the riding postion is actually very good and poised.
Has anyone else had such a growing relationship with a bike. It sounds geeky I know, but time well spent I thinks

Similar story with me,bought a P7 for winter use. Had a 575 at the time,wasn't keenon the Orange,loved the Yeti.
Had a couple of accidents,decided to quit riding,sold the Yeti. Kept the Orange for tow path use...got back into mountain biking and have grown very attached to the P7.
I've rode lighter,fancier bikes,they are quicker,but I prefer the P7.
