Hi All
Starting to think about next summers trip to warmer climes and fancy a change to the Alps. Has anyone ridden in the Pyrenees /Loudenville area and able to give any views on what the riding is like? Trailforks suggests it should be good but all I can find is EWS related so was trying to find out a bit more about the rest of the trail network. We prefer natural singletrack riding to bike park jump and berm fests.

For what it's worth, we stayed at Chipps' gite last year (which is further west). There's masses of trails to be explored straight from the door and the gite was lovely!

Loudenvielle sounds right up your street in that case. There are a few flowy bikepark trails advice the tree line in Peyragudes. The rest is single-track of varying degrees of steepness. There's a map and app over on this site https://louronbikeandtrail.com
Just to add, if you pop over the other side the col de Louron, the riding at Saint Lary Soulain is also pretty epic and just through the Bielsa tunnel there's Ainsa. I'm not sure two weeks will be enough 😁
I stand to be corrected as a damaged knee has stopped me riding in the area, but from what I have seen there are more trails in Ainsa. We live about 40 minutes from Loudenvielle and whilst the town is lovely, it's smaller in comparison to Ainsa.
However, as ocrider has pointed out the Louron valley area has been pushing it's trails so it's certainly worth researching.
Spekkie of this parish lives just outside Ainsa and would be well worth pming, as not only is he a nice guy, he knows the area very well.
