Just read that, I was going to put together a mountainbike just to do this on.

I think it was too much effort for too few people plus the lease was up.

Shame. I've not ridden an MTB since November 2010. But I've been building up a cheap tatty hardtail and was dead keen to re visit Lotts Wood for a bit of local XC.
