The bike kind ๐
Broke a spoke on the way in to work this morning, it broke right at the point where it exits the nipple. Since I hadn't far to go, I just arranged the spoke so that it wouldn't catch and carried on. Got to work and there's a rattling sound - the nipple has dropped in to the deep section rim.
Question: what's the easiest way to get the nipple out? I haven't yet taken the wheel or tyre off so not entirely sure what there is under the rim tape, etc.
Tape the rim tape off the back, align the valve hole at the bottom and _bounce_ the rim up and down (not shake). The nipple will drop out soon enough.
what he said or shake to so you know its at the bottom and then trap it near the spoke hile using a spike and then try and remove it with a spoke - only ever done this on a build and it was a pain in the arse tbh valve holes makes more sense to me
