Lost the red top cap/adjuster/rebound thingy and screw from some Fox Talas RL forks today after descending in the Lakes...

Can I get a new one from somewhere?

This bit:

Gee thanks for that Fred: If you're going to come back, why not try not to be a cock this time?

Ta fellas, lost it somewhere on the Satterthwaite descent, had to stick the lockout adjuster down with duct tape... Nice day for it though..

Do you have the screw? Reason I ask is I found the red bit by its self the other day (On the Surrey Hills though) and thought it would be handy if any one lost there's. I'll see if I can find it in the spares box.

No, but I might have something that would do the job in my box of bits..
Dunno if it has a little ball bearing and spring thing too...

Just noticed it was gone after stopping.

Crikey; It was just meant as a joke. I accept it was ill-judged and out of order. I apologise.

Ok...well I don't have those if they're needed. Might be best to go to Mojo then but if you do want it FOC let me know.

I would check the parts spec and see whats missing and order it from a fork repair specialist.

...the forks are about 4 years old with the standard stanchion wear issues on the left leg. They work fine, but I'm not really stressing about it if it's an expensive replacement; duct tape is working well at the mo..

There's no bearing under the rebound adjuster, so you should just need the red bit and the screw.

The lockout lever is held on by three small BBs which are adjusted with three tiny grub screws though, so you shouldn't need to hold it on with duck tape even if the rebound adjuster has come off, so sounds like there might be something wrong with that too.

HTH, Ed

Ah, cheers Ed! I put the duct tape on just in case anything came loose.. I'll see what Mojo have to say tomorrow, or failing that will talk to nuke as above.

STW to the rescue!
