Yep but you need to replace the end cap or match the new axle to it and be careful with length as there's no real standard. Did it come with the bike?

Isn't the lever supposed to be on the other side of the axel to that photo?

You can buy replacements (e.g. Shimano) but you need to know the overall length, the threaded length and the thread pitch. I've been after a spare for my Pact* and it's a minefield. Assuming that's the Stooge I'd get in touch with them and either buy one off them or get the specification and source elsewhere.

* That reminds me, must contact Brant again....

Have you got that axle in correctly? From the pictures, it looks like you should have the 'nut' the other way round. The dropout has a retainer plate that comes off (tiny allen bolt), the nut is then inserted into the dropout and the retaining plated added. This effectively turns it into a captive nut. Similar to this :

That latest pic looks all wrong to me. You had it the right way round in the first pic but you should definitely have a bit like shandcycles says.

Not sure what you need, but buy two.

Sometimes it's best to have fifth-wheel spares, when hard to get or long lead times.

Rich.
Looking at that last pic.
What's actually holding the axle in the frame?
I can't see the outer black nut at all on that pic.

If you enlarge one of your other pics you can see you had the nut and the nut retainer all bolted to the frame correctly.

Stu- in Richs last photo he's taken the nut off to show where the little retaining plate should be. It's the same design as used on my Pact. Maybe Brant would know where to source one.

(That's the second mention on this thread. Just one more needed...)

Looks same as this, your silver bit is missing. I would expect Stooge should be able to get you one

Hi Rich, you definitely had a retainer, wonder where on earth that's gone. I'll see about getting you another one.
