[#4053888]

After the Forestry Commission trashed our trails I went back up and have built a Northshore Freeride park.

It is just down the firetrack from the Mopeds crossroads. It partly blocks the fire track but people can just walk round it.

Photo to follow soon

The photo perspective doesn't really show the yawning chasm spanned by the log.

That needs chicken wire imho, dangerous as in the wet, don't want any more accidents in there. I suspect it will be torn down soon enough though due to it being too high risk, especially with people hitting it up without a full facer and pads on (crazy).

I had do it twice as the first time I wasn't wearing a helmet!

illegal building of trail on other peoples land is one thing but I couldn't risk being seen riding without a helmet.

How long before I can expect the sound of the police helicopter and the front door being kicked in?

I give it a few days before the local stickman finds it and puts logs across it.

Lol ๐Ÿ™‚

Missed that trail feature this morning. Though I did find someone has built a jump in the middle of one of the heavily used footpaths that run along the motorway (the left hand branch).

Seriously they are just asking for the whirling tractor of devastation to take another of our classic runs.

You're not kidding. First time up there this morning walking the dogs to have a look at the FC's "ecological policy" and I thought it was a f***ing disgrace.

Nick, You have way too much time on your hands!

I believe his weight loss is due all the digging he's been doing up
at the sports centre. Plus more recently he has actually had to work for a living. ๐Ÿ˜†

Whilst i appreciate that someone has taken time and effort to build the new jump that DT78 refers too, would it be worth us putting it out of action to avoid another round of FC OTT destruction? Although im not sure which trail DT78 is referring to.

He is talking about The Horse Trail. I rode it today and was a bit surprised by it but it was roll-able.

Not sure if people know that the trail he is talking about was put in by bikers as an alternative to the 'footpath' that forms the main trail.

The bl00dy walkers are doing 'cheeky' walking on the bike trails we build to avoid conflict on the main trails.

I would leave the jump in situ as it would take real effort to get a digger down there and it is easily rollable.

Fair enough. Was just thinking that if we were to "self-police" anything we consider "inappropriate" , might mean the FC leave the rest of the place alone.
