twohats....not sure, going by the blurb on the site they are saying that they started with a clean sheet, the design of the forks would certainly support this. As for the internal bake cables, lined with titanium suggests some thought has gone into the design.

The AMP Research forks are not new. First saw them on the AMP Amplifier waaaaaaay back in 91/92 (maybe even earlier?). They were very good at the time - nice hub travel path and much stiffer platform for canti brakes than conventional suspension forks of that era.

Mate of mine bought his off Pete Tomkins and they were brilliant (back then).

He's talking about the Factor001, which has been around for a while and is the most hilariously overpriced POS I've seen for a while, it says it all that its being endorsed by celebrities rather than cyclists.
